NOW HIRING: Technical Sales Specialist (Swine) UK & Ireland

Phileo by Lesaffre is part of the Lesaffre Group, a global expert in the field of yeasts and yeast extracts. Due to continued growth and success within the UK and Irish markets, Phileo UK & Ireland now has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Sales Specialist (Swine) to join our business.

Based from our offices in Doagh, County Antrim, with time also spent working from home, this is a role that will involve targeted strategic visits to key accounts in the UK and Ireland. You will be required to work alongside the Technical Manager and the wider team to maintain and develop existing accounts with customers that include major feed mills, supplement houses and nutrition consultancies.

You will be responsible for supporting our customers’ sales and technical teams on all aspects of technical nutrition information for pigs relating to our products, as well as establishing and co-ordinating field research.

Along with the rest of the team, you will help build strong relationships with stakeholders across the pig sector and will keep up to date with economic, technical and commercial developments across the industry.

We are seeking someone with a qualification in agriculture or animal science or equivalent to degree level or above. We would expect you to have at least five years’ experience working within a similar role within the pig industry, with a practical knowledge of all aspects of swine nutrition, management and husbandry and a proven track record of commercial success in the pig industry, either B2B or direct to farm. This should be supported by an in-depth knowledge of the structure of the pig industry in the UK & Ireland and of the main feed mills, supplement houses, influencers and consultants/nutritionists. We are also open to offering this position to a recent agriculture or animal science graduate, with a keen interest and some experience in the swine industry. In this instance a graduate training programme will be offered to ensure progress in the role.

Self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative, you will be a well-organised and punctual team player, with good communication skills, both written and verbal, confident presentation skills and excellent IT skills. Remuneration and company benefits will be commensurate with the role and your experience, and there are good career progression opportunities for the right candidate.
