We're hiring: Technical Sales Manager (GB)

Thinking about the next step in your Agri-Sales career? We’re looking for you!

Phileo by Lesaffre UK & Ireland are the leading supplier of yeast and yeast products to the Agri-industry, including Actisaf Sc47 and Safmannan. We have achieved this by focussing on:

  1. Continual and robust research that ensures our products sustainably improve herd performance, health and fertility.
  2. Partnerships with our feed compounder & nutrition consultancy clients at strategic, technical and farm levels to support their growth and development.

Due to our success we have an opening for a Technical Sales Manager to join our growing business in Great Britain. This role will be home-based in Great Britain and includes extensive travel throughout the United Kingdom.

You will also be required to hold a valid UK or EU driving license.

Candidate Requirements

You are already an experienced and respected technical salesperson in the animal feed or supplement industry with at least five years’ experience in ruminant nutrition, feeding and management. You have practical knowledge, experience and proven competence at feed mill, field and farm level, as well as experience of all aspects of the animal feed supply chain and an in-depth knowledge of dairy, beef and sheep production systems.

Key Responsibilities

You will partner with the existing Phileo team, liaising with the Sales & Technical Manager and the other technical sales members of the wider UK and Ireland business. You will work with them to maintain and develop existing accounts with current customers which include major feed mills, supplement houses and nutrition consultancies.

You will support our customers’ sales and technical teams with strategic, technical and practical advice, right down to farm level. You will also establish and co-ordinate field trials and work with your colleagues to interpret the latest research from our R&D team, then implementing it with our customers in a way that adds value to their businesses.

You will, together with your colleagues, keep up to date with developments in research, government policy and other novel industry concepts. Doing so allows us to continue supporting our customers to shape a sustainable, vibrant ruminant industry.

Remuneration and company benefits will be excellent and commensurate with the role and your experience.

About Phileo by Lesaffre

Phileo by Lesaffre is the animal care division of Lesaffre, a family owned business based in Lille, France. Founded in 1853, Lesaffre is the world’s leading manufacturer and global expert of yeast and fermentation, with their success built upon technical expertise and production innovation coupled with cutting edge R&D.

Phileo by Lesaffre UK & Ireland operations are centred around our distribution centre in Doagh, County Antrim, but we provide services throughout Great Britain, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Our close-knit, dedicated team members are experts in animal nutrition, specifically in the areas of rumen and hindgut manipulation, immune support and toxin mitigation. This technical approach, combined with the quality of our products, enables us to provide meaningful on-farm feeding solutions to producers and businesses across the industry.

We also pride ourselves on the partnerships that we have built with our customers, working closely with some of the region’s leading feed manufacturers, mills, pre-mixers and merchants.

Our Products

We wouldn’t be where we are without our range of high quality, industry-leading feed additives that are backed by rigorous, peer-reviewed research:

Actisaf Sc 47 Live Yeast

Specifically created to withstand feed manufacturing processes, Actisaf optimises the rumen and hindgut environments to allow fibre-digesting microbes to flourish, improving feed efficiency and forage digestibility.

Safmannan Premium Yeast Fraction

Safmannan is rich in mannans and beta-glucans, which stimulate and support immune function and bind to harmful pathogens such as E. coli, Salmonella and Clostridia.

SafWall Yeast Cell Wall

SafWall decreases the challenges posed by mycotoxins found in feed, which not only prevents illness and other negative impacts on livestock, but also enhances food safety for consumers.

Selsaf Organic Selenium

A highly bioavailable, natural source of organic selenium, SelSaf assimilates easily into animal proteins found in muscle, milk and eggs. This stimulates oxidant defences during periods of stress, improving immune and reproductive function, as well as animal performance and product quality.
