Extracted from a selected Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast strain, Safglucan^® is a highly purified yeast fraction with a guaranteed minimum of 50% 1,3-1,6 β-glucans.

The molecular structure of glucans sourced from cereals or bacteria are different from the structure of glucans extracted from fungi and yeast and it is important to note that not all β-glucans act the same in relation to immunity and supporting the immune system. Structure, molecular weight, linkage and the manufacturing process can all affect their ability to support the immune system.
