Selsaf^® is a natural source of organic selenium obtained from the specific cultivation of a proprietary Saccharomyces cerevisiae (CNCM I-3399) yeast strain. It is cultivated on a medium enriched with sodium selenite which is bio-transformed into organic form by yeast cells, ensuring a consistent composition of selenocysteine (SeCys) and selenomethionine (SeMet), both of which are major active selenocompounds.
