Phileo expands British ruminant technical team

Phileo by Lesaffre UK & Ireland welcomes Thomas Gerrard as the newest member of their technical team, joining the company as Ruminant Technical Sales Specialist for Great Britain.

Involved with dairy cattle throughout his life, with various different on-farm roles, Tom is accredited by The Register of Mobility Scorers (ROMS) and has a strong background in dairy cow lameness.

Thomas says: “The future of dairy, beef and sheep in Great Britain is exciting as these sectors continue to drive improvements in animal health and welfare, sustainability, efficiency and food quality.

“I look forward to developing within the role at Phileo by Lesaffre and have already enjoyed working with colleagues, customers and industry representatives in my first few weeks.”

Phileo by Lesaffre UK and Ireland now consists of eight team members who work with farmers and feeding businesses across the region in the dairy, beef, sheep, pigs, poultry, equine and pet sectors.

James Ambrose, Country Manager UK and Ireland said: “With his strong farming background and experience in technical sales and nutrition, Thomas is a great addition to our existing team. His appointment is part of our targeted growth strategy across species as we continue to work alongside the industry to improve gut health, efficiency, profitability and sustainability.”
